Install Metamask and Set up Polygon network
This tutorial will help you to install a new Metamask account in your Brave browser and set up the Polygon network in your Metamask. (These instructions will be pretty similar for other browsers like Chrome, Firefox or Edge)
Part 1 — Installing Metamask and creating your wallet
First of all, go to https://metamask.io/ and click on the “Download Now” button. Then click on “Install Metamask for Brave”
This will install the Metamask extension on your browser.
Once the extension is installed, it should automatically open the “Welcome to Metamask” screen. Click on “Get Started”.
On the next screen, click on “Create a Wallet”
Follow the steps on your screen.
VERY IMPORTANT — Please DO NOT forget your seed phrase. Write it down somewhere safe.
Once you have confirmed your Seed Phrase, you will have a Metamask wallet ready to use!
Part 2 — Adding the Polygon Network
After creating your wallet, you need to add the Polygon network to Metamask since our NFTs will be minted there.
Click on the “Add Network” button and enter these values —
Network Name = Polygon Mainnet
New RPC URL = https://polygon-rpc.com/
Chain ID = 137
Currency Symbol = MATIC
Block Explorer URL = https://polygonscan.com/
Once you finish this, if you open the browser extension you should see the “Polygon Mainnet” automatically selected in your Metamask dropdown
